Electrical Engineering Admissions
The page contains information for applying to the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) undergraduate major.
Applicants are evaluated based on their academic performance, completion of core requirements and prerequisites, along with a personal statement providing the application committee with a compelling understanding of the student’s interest in the degree program and the University of Washington Bothell.

Application timeline

How to apply
Submit an internal application if you are:
- A pre-major student at UW Bothell campus
- Already in a major at UW Bothell and you want to switch majors or do a double degree
Submit a transfer application if you are:
- A current student at UW Seattle or UW Tacoma campus
- Transferring from another college or university outside of the UW system
Admission requirements
Students are required to have a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA and the major has the following minimum requirements which must be completed prior to admission:
- a minimum grade of 2.7 in STMATH 124 Calculus I
- a minimum grade of 2.7 in STMATH 125 Calculus II
- a minimum grade of 2.7 in B PHYS 121 Mechanics
- a minimum grade of 2.0 in college-level English Composition course
