Managed (PC and Mac) workstations are proactively managed by UWB-IT to provide a well-maintained, secure workstation that includes software application deployment, security configurations, and patch management.

Features & Options

  • Basic help desk support, which typically means assistance for common problems
  • Standard operating system image including basic supported software (Microsoft Office and antivirus software)
  • An over-the-network OS image delivery mechanism
  • Operating system updates
  • Anti-virus software installation and maintenance
  • Proactive security mitigations for high risk vulnerabilities
  • Re-imaging for compromised managed workstations
  • Centralized software deployment
  • Secure connection (Husky OnNet) to restricted campus services

  • University funded

Service & Availability Targets

  • Patches delivered monthly
  • Support available Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, except for university holidays. Note: Hours change for summer quarter and interim.
