Theme: Anti-Racism in Public Health and Bioethics

Registration is open for the fourth biennial, multidisciplinary symposium on Race, Health and Justice taking place on April 12 in the Walker Ames Room, Kane Hall at the University of Washington. Two external keynote speakers, Jennifer James from UCSF and Yolonda Wilson from St Louis, will be presenting their work on the theme of anti-racism in public health and bioethics. We also have fantastic internal speakers from UW. See the schedule below and the attached flyer.

Register today for Synapse National’s Future Leaders in Brain Injury Conference!

Future Leaders in Brain Injury is a free one-day virtual conference that provides opportunities for learners of all levels – from undergraduate to clinical students– to explore a variety of medical specialties and career paths focused on advancing the field of Brain Injury. Participants will hear from professionals in medicine, neuroscience, and rehabilitation specialties about their work and how the field of brain injury is growing. They will also engage in structured opportunities to network with professionals who can support them in achieving their career aspirations.

We’re hosting the conference on Saturday, April 20th from 12pm-5:30pm EST/9am-2:30pm PST on Zoom.

The Natural Science & Pre-Health Professional Pathways Advisor will share tips for writing your statement and lead an interactive workshop where you will work together to start your statement and leave inspired to complete this essential piece of any application.

We would like to invite you to join us at this year’s Evening with Neuroscience on April 26th 6-9pm in UW Seattle’s Kane Hall or online via YouTube livestream. Participants will have the unique opportunity to see live human brain demonstrations; interact with neurotechnology; view neuroscience art; hear from professors, researchers, and clinicians at the forefront of the neuroscience field; and ask questions in our Q&A panel. A food truck will be provided before, during, and after the event!
