Recruitment methods

Employers use a variety of on- and off-campus recruitment methods to find candidates for internships and employment. Common on-campus recruitment methods occur through attending career fairs, hosting information sessions, sponsoring career treks and participating in employer-focused events like networking & alumni panels and coffee & career chats. Off-campus recruitment requires students to leave campus or get online to connect with employers. This can generally occur through employers hosting off-campus open houses, virtual events, meet-ups, or doing an open call for applications online.

Connecting with employers

Career Services often receives inquiries about the recruiting methods and hiring processes of large regional and national employers. However, with employers regularly changing their recruitment strategies, it becomes challenging for you (the students and alumni) to navigate the recruitment process.

Career Services is responding to your requests by providing information to assist you in your job search. The most frequently inquired about employers have been identified and we have highlighted some resources for connecting with them.
