The following is a list of frequently asked questions regarding ARC Fitness Program at the University of Washington Bothell.

ARC Fitness Center

Question: How to get access to ARC fitness center?

Answer: On the ARC Lower Lever, participants can check-in using a student or government issued ID. Student workers can also assist in locker checkout, fitness equipment, or general assistance.


Group Fitness Classes

Question: What determines class offerings?

Answer: The ARC attempts to provide various format that engages many interest and fitness levels. Classes are determined by instructor certifications, departmental preference, facility schedule, as well as participant recommendations.

Question: How many formats are offered?

Answer: We currently offer 7 different class formats with 13 classes a week. Please see the Current Offerings page for more information.

Question: How can I sign up for the ARC FIT Challenge?

Answer: Next time you attend a class, ask the Group Fitness Instructor to sign you up!

Group Fitness Classes: Registration

Question: How to register for a Group Fitness Class?

Answer: Registration takes less than 5 minutes to complete. Log into the myARC Member Portal using your NetID (for both University of Washington Bothell & Cascadia College students). Click on “Group Fitness” image. A page called “Programs” will appear with current class offerings. Click on the class you would like to register for, and the page will refresh to show the class format, time and offerings. Select the time and day you would like to register for and answer the prompts that follow.

  • Cascadia College students that still need to create their NetID, please visit the Cascadia site.

Question: When to register for Group Fitness classes?

Answer: Registration opens 14 days before class start time.

Question: Can I register for more than 1 Group Fitness Class a week?

Answer: Yes! You can register for as many Group Fitness classes as you want.

Question: How to check-in for a Group Fitness Class?

Answer: After checking at the ARC Fitness Center check-in desk, participants can sign-in for classes outside of the ARC Fitness Studio 10 minutes prior to class starting. The door closes at the start of the class, but late individuals have a 5-minute grace period before they will not be allowed to participate.

Question: How to cancel a reservation for a Group Fitness class?

Answer: You can cancel your registration up to 5 days prior to the class start time. Log into the myARC Member Portal using your NetID and click your profile name at the top right corner of the page. Under Profile, click “Program Registrations” and select the class you would like to cancel, then click confirm cancellation.

Memberships

Question: Who is eligible for a membership?

Answer: All active UW Bothell and Cascadia College students automatically have a membership for the ARC and the Fitness Center as a part of ARC Fee paid with standard student tuition. All eligible staff and faculty from the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia College can purchase an ARC Fitness Center membership by visiting myARC.uwb.edu.

No guest passes will be available for purchase at this time.

Question: What does the membership include?

Answer: Access to the Group Fitness classes, Fitness Center, locker rooms, towels, as well as items from Check-out desk to be using in the building as well as the Sports & Recreation Complex (S&RC).

Reservations

Question: Can I reserve the facility?

Answer: The Fitness Center is not reservable for individual or groups. However, the ARC Studio (SARC 040) is reservable through the 25 Live web portal. This space can be reserved Monday – Friday after 6:00pm.

Question: What if I need an accessibility accommodation?

Answer: UW Bothell and Cascadia College are committed to providing equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation in their services, programs, activities, education, and employment for individuals with disabilities.
