Quantitative Skills Center

Overview

The Quantitative Skills Center (QSC) promotes quantitative reasoning at UW Bothell through peer tutoring and faculty development. We aim to help UW Bothell students develop skills and confidence with quantitative reasoning by offering free services such as drop-ins and online tutoring, equipment checkout, course refreshers and software tutorials.

Tutoring

Our peer tutoring model involves asking a lot of questions, working through examples, and modeling the problem-solving process. Stop by the Academic Learning Commons in Commons Hall room UW2-030 during our office hours for support. Learn more about our tutoring services and how to access them here. We tutor most of the first-level and upper-division courses in:

Online & in-person drop-ins

We have moved into Commons Hall room UW2-030 and now share a space in the Academic Learning Commons with the Writing & Communication Center (WaCC) and Academic Success Coaching (ASC). You can also visit us virtually by using the Zoom link below.

Winter Quarter hours

We’ll be fully staffed and ready to support you from Monday, January 6, 2025 through Friday, March 21. See below for our hours. View the UW Bothell Academic Calendar for all closures. Our in-person location is UW2-030. Please join the QSC Zoom room to enter online.

*Note: We will not start new sessions 10 minutes before closing to ensure all sessions have enough tutoring time.
