Andy Rheaume elected Mayor of Bothell by City Council

Environmental Science alumnus and Bothell native Andy Rheaume (’04) has been elected Mayor of Bothell by fellow City Councilmembers. Andy has served on the City Council since 2012 and was reelected for a second four-year term last November. Andy writes, “I’m honored to serve our city as the Mayor. The City of Bothell is moving in the right direction. My goal as Mayor is to make sure our quality of life is central to everything the city does, and to make sure decisions of the City Council are balanced and well informed.”

IAS Students Featured in Article on North Creek Forest in Bothell

The Bothell Reporter published an article today on the North Creek Forest that features work being done by IAS students in the Restoration Ecology Network (pictured at left are Environmental Studies majors Nicholas Vradenburg and Kai Farmer). Students from all three University of Washington campuses work to restore portions of the forest, providing fieldwork application of classwork as part of the Restoration Ecology Network (REN).
