IAS faculty member Ted Hiebert published "Art and the 'Pataphysics of Exception: Or, how a sieve becomes a time machine" in Katie Price & Michael Taylor's edited volume, 'Pataphysics Unrolled. Pennsylvania State University Press, 2022. pp. 153-170. Hiebert's essay examines the ways that Alfred Jarry's "science of imaginary solutions" travels alongside the aspirations and interventions of contemporary creative and artistic thought.
