IAS faculty member Ching-In Chen spoke about the intersection of their activism, literary and academic engagement, and community building at the “Creative Politics, Political Poetics: An Ecology of Change” roundtable. Chen joined artists, writers, community organizers, curators, and scholars: Purvi Shah, Cathy Linh Che, Sejal Shah, and Lawrence-Minh Bùi Davis at the 2021 Association of Asian American Studies virtual conference. Panelists and audience members discussed what it means to activate language for change and how artists and writers can contribute to cross-racial organizing and solidarity.
