Jin-Kyu Jung and Ted Hiebert receive Royalty Research Fund Scholar award

IAS faculty members Jin-Kyu Jung and Ted Hiebert received a Royalty Research Fund (RRF) Scholar award for their collaboration on “Imagining the Details: Creative-Critical Engagement of Mapping and Imagining.” The project builds on their previous collaboration that expands our vision of bringing together qualitative GIS/geovisualization and contemporary art by addressing questions as complex as urban community and homelessness. The main goal will be to establish an interdisciplinary discourse of integrating multiple-modes of data and representation to the next level through the reconceptualization of mapping and geovisualization as a form of critical and creative engagement.
