Ted Hiebert publishes “Excerpts from the Library of Babel: A meditation on writing, electricity, and ghosts”

IAS faculty member Ted Hiebert published “Excerpts from the Library of Babel: A meditation on writing, electricity, and ghosts” in Performance Research vol. 23 (On Writing and Performance). The essay reflects on Jorge Luis Borges’s story of a library—so vast it contains a copy of every book that has ever (or could ever) be written—wondering how such an infinite (technological) archive would challenge the questions of writing, engagement and creative community.
