Ben Gardner Presents at Conference on “Elite Discourse” in Bern, Switzerland

IAS faculty member Ben Gardner presented a paper and participated in a round table conference on “Elite Discourse” in Bern, Switzerland co-organized by IAS affiliate faculty member Crispin Thurlow and Adam Jaworski. The interdisciplinary round table brought together sociolinguists, anthropologists, sociologists, geographers and discourse analysts to explore the intersection of language, communication and the production of class privilege/status. Gardner presented a paper on “The discursive politics of conservation: social media, tourism and violence.”
