IAS faculty member Anida Yoeu Ali is published in the new book RISE: A Pop History of Asian America from the Nineties to Now, published by Harper Collins. RISE is a love letter to and for Asian Americans—a vivid scrapbook of voices, emotions, and memories from an era in which APIA culture was forged and transformed. The book brings together exclusive interviews, personal narratives and contributions from major Asian American cultural icons and artists. Ali contributed her creative writing in the featured section on Asian America’s “golden age” of spoken word in the late 1990s and 2000s.
