As more COVID-19 vaccines become available, countries around the world are faced with the daunting task of carrying out mass vaccinations. Master of Arts in Policy Studies alum Jessica Crawford, serves as Director, Global Technical Team for VillageReach, a non-profit global health innovator that develops, tests, implements and scales new solutions to critical health system challenges in low-resource environments. Crawford is responsible for her organization’s immunization program portfolio and helping to strengthen immunization supply chains in Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Malawi.

Crawford currently serves on Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance’s Immunization Supply Chain Steering Committee (iSC2), where she co-leads creation of Gavi’s next immunization supply chain strategy. She recently published an article for Gavi titled, “How to make sure COVID-19 vaccines reach as many people as possible,” sharing insights from what VillageReach learned through supporting COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Washington State.
