Nitta and Chen bring IAS students to work with the City of Bellevue

livable city year

IAS faculty members Keith Nitta and Mark Chen participated in 2018-19 Livable City Year program, partnering with the City of Bellevue, WA. This participation made it possible for IAS undergraduate and graduate students to work with the city client to address real-world challenges in Bellevue.

Livable City Year engages UW faculty and students across multiple disciplines to work on high-priority projects identified by community partners. The program works with communities of all sizes and budgets, and partnerships have a broad range of timelines and scopes dependent on partner needs.
