IAS faculty member Jennifer Atkinson spoke at Muhlenberg College's Center for Ethics event series, The Ethics of the Anthropocene: Crisis Earth. Her talk on "Climate Depression and Environmental Angst" explored the complex emotional and ethical issues faced by the Climate Generation, offering strategies for students, educators, and activists to stay engaged in environmental justice work over the long run. Both her lecture and workshops with Muhlenberg students and faculty drew on resources from the humanities, psychology, contemplative practice, and post-traumatic growth theory to help participants build the resilience needed for navigating despair and hope our era of climate crisis.
