Community Radio Journalism students offer free workshops at area LPFM stations

Students in BISMCS 343D Community Radio Journalism were excited to facilitate two workshops on public affairs programming in November 2018. The first workshop was held at SPACE 101.1 FM KMPG-LP at Magnuson Park, on Saturday Nov 17th from 9am-12pm, where participants learned how to record and edit a Vox Pop. The second workshop was held at 96.9 FM KODX-LP in the University District, on Thursday Nov 29th from 6-9pm, where they learned about prepping and conducting recorded Interviews. Both workshops were coordinated by Media & Communication Studies senior Makenna Martin, led by IAS faculty member Amoshaun Toft, and peer-facilitated by BISMCS 343D students. Both were free to anyone (interested in) participating in an area LPFM station.
