Paula Matano (‘12, Policy Studies) is now the program manager for Oregon State University’s Professional and Continuing Education division. In this role, she develops and manages non-degree certificate programs and roughly 50 online and onsite courses. Hillary U (’10, Culture, Literature & the Arts) has accepted the position of Employee Communications Manager for Horizon Air, where she is responsible for employee-facing communication channels, including the company's intranet, for Horizon's 4000 employees. Josh Thompson (’11, Policy Studies) has announced his candidacy for Edmonds City Council, Position #1. He currently serves as a Legislative Aide to the Snohomish County Councilmember Stephanie Wright and sits on the Mayor's Climate Protection Committee for City of Edmonds. This month, Drew Stone (’14, Media & Communication Studies and Society, Ethics & Human Behavior) will give the lightening talk "Know Code, No Problem; No Code, Know Problems" on supporting technical development teams at Eastside Virtual Reality Meetup in Bellevue. He will also present the development process and practical utility of DisastARcons, built for HoloLens, at the 2017 Partners in Preparedness Conference in Tacoma.
