Robert Trumbull Presents on Derrida and Foucault at the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy
IAS faculty member Robert Trumbull presented a paper entitled “Power and the ‘Drive for Mastery’: Derrida’s Freud and the Debate with Foucault” at the annual conference for the Society for Phenomenology and Existential Philosophy in Atlanta and was awarded the Honorable Mention for Best Paper by a Junior Scholar by the SPEP Executive Committee. The paper focused on the French philosopher Jacques Derrida’s later engagements with the work of Michel Foucault.
