Julie Shayne discusses her book and presents at the Pacific Sociological Association

IAS faculty member Julie Shayne discussed her new book and presented a paper at the Pacific Sociological Association conference. Shayne’s book, Taking Risks: Feminist Activism and Research in the Americas, was featured at an author-meets-critics session at the conference. (Shayne will be speaking at book launch event for Taking Risks at UW Seattle on April 23.) She also gave a paper she co-authored with Rebecca Ducharme, IAS Global Studies alum and current Teacher Candidate in the School of Educational Studies, titled “Human Rights Pedagogy in the Elementary School Classroom.
