Office of Veteran & Military Educational Benefits
The UW Bothell has a long history of educating veterans, active-duty military, and military dependent students. We are honored to continue with this valuable tradition as a new generation serves and returns to higher education. We are committed to ensuring your academic success and value your addition to the UW Bothell community.
We are here to help you navigate your funding options, from VA education benefits and state waivers to financial aid and scholarships.
How to receive your VA Educational Benefits at UW Bothell
- Be admitted to UW Bothell
- All new students will attend an Orientation and once completed you can register for classes
- All veterans are eligible for priority registration at the UW after your first quarter of attendance
- Submit a copy of your approval letter (Certificate of Eligibility) from the VA by using the VA Information Update DocuSign form
- Veterans must provide a copy of your DD 214 (Member 4). Use the VA Information Update form.
- After you register for classes, you must submit an Enrollment Certification Request before each quarter
Forms
Our office uses DocuSign to submit forms. DocuSign is an online process, which requires you to log in with your UW NetID and password.
Forms for your VA Education Benefits need to be completed by you and an academic adviser. We suggest that you meet with your adviser each quarter to review your academic progress and your degree plan.
When using DocuSign you will be asked to enter your academic adviser’s name and email. Once you complete your section of the form, it will automatically be sent to the adviser you listed.
After your adviser has completed their section, the form will be sent to our office for processing.
If you do not have UW NetID yet, or if you wish to use a PDF version instead, please see below for the PDF versions of our forms. We encourage you to use DocuSign when possible.
