Winter/spring quarter 2023 orientation process
Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Washington Bothell! We are excited to welcome you as the newest members of the UWB community.
In line with local and state guidance, we have made the decision to facilitate your orientation process remotely this winter.
The goals of Advising & Orientation process remain the same. After completing this process, you will hopefully feel connected to the campus, know the resources and opportunities available to you, and also be ready to register for classes.
Step 1: UWB 101 (online orientation)
Complete our online orientation called “UWB 101“. The link will not work until November 1st for winter quarter students or February 1 for spring quarter students.
AFTER NOVEMBER 1st for winter and April 1 for spring
Once you complete UWB101, you will receive a link to sign up for your Virtual Advising & Orientation within 5 business days.
Step 2: Virtual Advising & Orientation
The one-day virtual Advising & Orientation (A&O) session will connect you with campus resources and other new students. You will also meet with your academic advisor in a group advising setting.
Step 3: Registration
Once you have attended your A&O, you will be to register for classes online.
Technology needs
A personal computer or tablet with internet access to and sound will be ideal to fully participate in the orientation process. Accessing the orientation process on a smartphone device will make it more difficult to participate fully. Please also be prepared to engage in activities actively and take notes.
