All Winter and Spring Admitted Students
The Advising & Orientation process will be available to Winter Admits starting November 1st and Spring Admits starting February 1st.
Congratulations on your acceptance to the University of Washington Bothell! We are excited to welcome you as the newest members of the UWB community. After completing this process, you will hopefully feel connected to the campus, know the resources and opportunities available to you, and also be ready to register for classes.
Orientation Process
Step 1: Self-Paced Online Learning (Opens Nov. 1st/Feb. 1st)
Before registering for an Advising & Orientation (A&O) session, you’ll need to complete two required online courses:
Once both courses are complete, you’ll receive a registration link for your Advising & Orientation session to your UW Email within 5 business days.
Step 2: Advising & Orientation (Virtual)
At your A&O, you will build on the information you learned in UWB101, learn about campus resources, meet other new students, and connect with your academic advisor. Your A&O will take place online, using Zoom and will be approximately 7 hours, including several breaks.
Step 3: Registration
You will be able to register for classes after completing your Advising & Orientation session. Review these registration resources to get started.
Technology needs
A personal computer or tablet with internet access to and sound will be ideal to fully participate in the orientation process. Accessing the orientation process on a smartphone device will make it more difficult to participate fully. Please also be prepared to engage in activities actively and take notes. If you have any questions about accessing your remote Orientation sessions or need help support in preparing for your sessions, please visit our accommodations website.
