About Us

The Associated Students of UW Bothell was founded in 2008 by a group of students passionate about bridging the gap between administration, faculty, and the student body. Over the years, it has undergone numerous iterations and structural changes as UW Bothell has continued to change and grow.

Executive Board

Fernanda Armas

President

Fernanda Armas is a senior international student majoring in Psychology with a minor in Policy Studies. She began her studies at Cascadia College, where her passion for serving others flourished in various leadership roles, from event planning to volunteering with international students to working with administration on key decision-making processes. Her dedication to the Cascadia community earned her the prestigious Brett Webster Award for Exemplary Leadership, the highest honor a student can receive. At UW Bothell, she has served as the Campus and Events Board Chair–playing a key role in its merge with the Social Justice and Civic Education team–as well as a voting member on Club Council, deepening her on-campus involvement and work to build an inclusive community for all. Her mission is to serve and uplift the entire student body, and she hopes to expand access to mental and physical health resources on campus, increasing voter turnout in local and state elections, ensuring the success of the newly established Student Senate, and raising UW Bothell’s image as a key sister campus within the University of Washington system. Fernanda’s drive comes from her desire to be a strong leader and to set an example for her younger sisters, showing them that anything is possible.
