Faculty Staff Fellows Program

Launched in Winter 2023 by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (ODEI), the DEI Faculty Staff Fellows Program is a year-long opportunity to develop, implement, and assess a project of praxis related to DEI efforts on the UW Bothell campus.

ODEI’s goals for this competitive program are to build capacity of campus stakeholders to engage in DEI work, address DEI issues on campus through partnership and sustainable effort, and broaden campus-wide participation in DEI efforts to across four areas:

Projects targeting recruitment, retention, student engagement/support and post-baccalaureate outcomes, specifically benefiting students from diverse and marginalized backgrounds.

Projects that strengthen relationships, promote community building across differences, foster cultural competence and deepen a sense of belonging among staff and faculty.

Projects that provide knowledge, awareness or skills in DEI, supporting faculty and staff development.

Projects that prepare faculty and staff for DEI leadership roles on campus.
