Master of Education (M.Ed.)

Program Update

We are in the process of making substantive changes to our graduate education programs to ensure we maintain top-tier academic programs that meet the needs of our prospective students and state needs for teacher education. The Masters in Education program will all undergo modifications in the 2018-2019 academic year in our efforts to ensure we continue to meet these goals.

This M.Ed. Program will pause admissions until 2020 to redesign the curriculum to ensure we are continuing to meet the needs of teachers in the state in an accessible, affordable, and inventive way.

To be kept informed of the latest developments on our Masters’ programs, please sign up for our graduate programs mailing list.

The Master of Education program is designed to provide the academic foundations and depth you will need to advance in your career within educational communities, to take on leadership roles within the profession, and to make significant contributions to the future of children, youth, and families. This program is designed for teachers who already have a teaching certificate and are looking to add an additional endorsement in Special Education or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ELL Endorsement), as well as educators in a variety of fields looking to expand their depth of knowledge about education (not seeking formal certification).

If you are looking to become a certified teacher you can look at our Elementary Education Post-Baccalaureate program or our Secondary and Middle Level M.Ed. Program.
