Academic advising
Academic Advisors have the experience and information to help guide students as they navigate the university. They can explain requirements, procedures, and help plan for a major. They’ll discuss how to match interests with opportunities at UW Bothell and how to integrate academic and career plans.
Academic Learning Commons
The Academic Learning Commons provides students tools and supports to be succesful in their classes. The Quantitative Skills Center (QSC) promotes quantitative reasoning at UW Bothell through peer tutoring and faculty development. The Writing & Communication Center (WaCC) supports students of all abilities, at any stage of the reading, writing, or presentation process. Our goal is to help you become a stronger, more confident writer and communicator. First Year & Pre-Major Program
First Year & Pre-Major Program (FYPP) is the home of our first and second year (or pre-major) students at UW Bothell. We are the first place to turn for all of your academic needs, from scheduling classes and meeting faculty, to discussing your future career goals. Our program is responsible for the Discovery Core Experience courses (required in the first quarter), the Writing courses, the language courses, and several other general education and first year elective courses designed to support student success.
