Strategic Plan 2020-24
Expanding Access, Achieving Excellence
UW Bothell’s strategic plan — “Expanding Access, Achieving Excellence” — was launched in January 2020 and identified three areas of priority to help guide our investments and activities:
- Strengthen Diversity and Equity
- Enhance Community and Campus Engagement
- Advance Cross-Disciplinary Teaching and Scholarship
A fourth priority was added later to nurture the culture of sustainability that permeates our award-winning campus.
As work on the plan was coming to a close in academic year 2022-23, four working groups (one for each of the strategic plan’s four priority areas) were asked to…
- assess accomplishments and inventory progress towards key indicators to date;
- identify activities, learnings and adaptations that should be celebrated; and
- recommend next steps for consideration.
These working groups, after an extensive amount of consultation and work with various campus stakeholders, submitted their final reports to the Office of the Chancellor.
The final reports were shared with the UW Bothell campus community in spring 2024, and faculty and staff were invited to contribute to a campus discussion by offering feedback through surveys, participating in online discussions for each of the priority areas, and submitting questions and comments to be addressed at a campus event held in May 2024.
In 2025, UW Bothell will launch a new strategic planning process in consultation with faculty, staff and student leadership. Additional details will be forthcoming soon.
