ASUWB Officers

The ASUWB Officers are elected and appointed student leaders dedicated to serve and advocate for all students at UW Bothell. Members of the board are organized by an ASUWB Executive Board and supported by Senators and Staff with non-voting power.

Isabeau Rosen, President

Pronouns: She/Her

Serves as the primary spokesperson for the ASUWB, including giving speeches at all events. The primary lead of communication for tri-campus communication between ASUW, ASUWT, and GPSS starting summer through spring term.

Cody Becker, Vice President

Pronouns: He/Him

Supports the President to fulfill duties as appointed or requested, manages the UWB Leadership Program, and work with other members of the ASUWB to develop ASUWB initiatives, goals, and projects.

Nashwa Abukhder, Director of Student Advocacy

Pronouns: She/Her

Serves as a liaison between students, administration, and faculty on all issues concerning diversity, student health, and academic affairs. Serves as the premiere advocate for on-campus student issues as they arise and facilitate ad hoc town halls for students.

Isatou Ceesay, Director of Campus Partnerships

Pronouns: She/her/hers

Chairs the ASUWB Student Advisory Council (ASAC). Collaborates and maintains a positive relationship with the Diversity Center to serve the ASUWB student body through diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, events, and partnerships. Coordinates with residents and organization of the surrounding Bothell community. Serves on all university committees concerning diversity, community engagement, and food options or issues.

Marko Morrison, Director of Government Relations

Pronouns: He/Him

Advances the Associated Student’s Legislative Agenda, operates civic engagement initiatives, organizes and implement legislative events both on campus and in Olympia. Serves as the legislative liaison for local, state, and federal affairs and for work with Cascadia Student Government, University of Washington Seattle and Tacoma Student Governments. The ASUWB Representative on the WSA Board of Directors.

Nabil Shehadeh, Director of Marketing

Pronouns: He/Him

Creates, distributes, and maintains all information collected from sources across and beyond campus to the Associated Students by: drafting statements, publicizing, and updating the ASUWB webpage, email, social media, and any other form of communication.

Sarah Azam, Director of Outreach

Pronouns: She/Her

Manages external relations of ASUWB by meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Advancement and External Relations, and attend City of Bothell Chamber of Commerce. Organizes the ASUWB Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards and maintains the Student of the Month Award. Manages relations with businesses for networking events or student discounts.

Leonille Matunan, Treasurer

Pronouns: He/him

Manages and tracks the ASUWB Budget and creates and oversees the SAF Budget Proposal for ASUWB. Primary contact for the Student Academic Enhancement Fund (SAEF)

Kyle Wickline, Parliamentarian

Pronouns: He/Him

Provides council on ASUWB Bylaws as well as to unofficially interpret the ASUWB Constitution. Ensure that any changes in the Bylaws or Constitution are accurately reflected in the governing documents. Oversees the performance management of ASUWB members to make sure they are upholding their duties and responsibilities. Chairs all hiring committees and oversee all hiring processes for ASUWB unless otherwise specified in the ASUWB Constitution or in these bylaws. Primary contact for the Elections Committee.

Puneet Birk, Legislative Liaison

Advocates for the approved ASUWB Legislative Agenda in Olympia, explicitly delivers the will and message of the ASUWB in Olympia to necessary individuals, and works closely with the Director of Government Relations during the legislative session.
