Overview
Established in August 2022, the Office of Faculty Success (OFS) provides centralized support to help faculty navigate their careers, advance their scholarship and enhance their teaching. Our goal is simple: to empower faculty with the tools and support they need to thrive in their roles as educators, scholars, mentors and leaders.
We support faculty success through three key focus areas:
- Career navigation provides guidance on policies, promotions, and leadership pathways to help faculty advance in their careers.
- Research and scholarship offers resources and support for scholarly work, including sponsored research support through the Office of Sponsored Research.
- Learning and teaching enhances instruction through evidence-based strategies, professional development, and resources for innovative, inclusive teaching provided by the Learning &Teaching Collaborative.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide centralized programs that support faculty success in teaching and scholarship while partnering with units and administrators to enhance systems and policies that improve the overall faculty experience.
To achieve these goals, we serve as both a faculty navigator and a partner to schools and units to enhance the professional experience of UW Bothell faculty. As a faculty navigator, we provide direct support, helping faculty navigate policies and procedures related to their roles as instructors, scholars and leaders. Additionally, our office collaborates with schools and units at UW to improve resources and policies that support faculty success.
