Amazon selects self-driving bike for $75K grant
Amazon has decided to award $75,000 to support the research of University of Washington Bothell Affiliate Professor Tyler Folsom who is developing a self-driving tricycle. Folsom says the money will fund student interns over the next year as they work on the Elcano Project.

Well before Karishma Sharma was scheduled to pick up her University of Washington diploma she had put together an academic and work resume to land a job with Microsoft. The business administration major starts her career June 27th as a Microsoft solution sales specialist in education, selling Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, to schools and colleges.

Runners in the University of Washington Bothell 5k Run/Walk are not only enjoying a brisk outing with friends they’re also supporting students with much-appreciated scholarships. The event has raised more than $150,000 since its inception and it’s now a part of the UW’s Dawg Dash series.
