Donors double private scholarship funding

Thanks to generous donors, in 2018-19 the University of Washington Bothell anticipates awarding the largest number of privately funded scholarships to date. UW Bothell is on track to double the $202,000 from 31 funds awarded to 85 students last year.

UW Bothell raises pride flag

This year, for the first time, all three University of Washington campuses raised the gay pride flag in honor of Pride Month as a symbolic gesture of acceptance and support for LGBTQIA students, staff, faculty and alumni. The flag was raised on the UW Bothell campus at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 18.

Grads all score at Safeco Field commencement

The University of Washington Bothell welcomed more than 2,200 new alumni with the Class of 2018’s commencement June 10 at Safeco Field. The total class — 1,954 students receiving their bachelor’s degree and 302 receiving their master’s — is nearly 300 students larger than last year’s class.

The University of Washington Bothell Class of 2018 is the largest in its history, with more than 2,200 graduates receiving their diplomas. The commencement ceremony will be held June 10 at Safeco Field.

New veterans center coming to UW Bothell

University of Washington Bothell Chancellor Wolf Yeigh announced a new veterans resource center will be open in fall 2018 in Founders Hall, UW1-011. There are about 200 veterans on campus and about 70 others who are spouses or children of veterans, eligible for benefits.

UW Bothell team wins Distinguished Staff Award

The team that completed work on the new UW Bothell Cascadia College Campus Master Plan has won a 2018 University of Washington Distinguished Staff Award, the highest staff honor at the University. It’s the first time in 15 years one of the awards has gone to UW Bothell staff.
