The University of Washington Bothell is helping develop a disinfectant to reduce the foul odor of latrines. Making pit toilets less offensive could improve sanitation in developing regions of the world where defecation in the open air spreads disease.

UW again on Green Honor Roll
The University of Washington has again earned the highest possible score on The Princeton Review’s Green Rating system, one of 26 colleges and universities out of 648 schools reviewed. The University’s submission included information from the Seattle, UW Bothell and UW Tacoma campuses.

UW Bothell helping bring back ‘little red fish’

Donors double private scholarship funding
Thanks to generous donors, in 2018-19 the University of Washington Bothell anticipates awarding the largest number of privately funded scholarships to date. UW Bothell is on track to double the $202,000 from 31 funds awarded to 85 students last year.
