Avanade Scholars Business Scholarship

Designed to support dedicated business students in achieving their academic and professional goals


We are excited to announce the opening of applications for the inaugural UW Bothell School of Business Avanade Scholars Business Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to support dedicated business students in achieving their academic and professional goals. Recipients will receive up to $3000 for the 2024-2025 academic year and is renewable each year through degree completion at UW Bothell. 

The scholarship offers more than just financial assistance – it’s a supportive, career-readiness program with a myriad of unique opportunities to grow your skills, professionalism, and network. Recipients will be paired with an industry mentor from Avanade who will provide guidance, insights, and support as students navigate their educational journey. Additionally, recipients will have the opportunity to attend exclusive enrichment events, where they can connect with industry leaders, participate in workshops, UW Bothell hackathon, field trips and attend the Annual Avanade FUEL Conference.  

Award

Up to $3,000/per academic year.

Eligibility

  • Open to current Business majors and First-Year Admit (DFA) students.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 credits during the quarter that the application is submitted.

Application Items

To apply, please complete the Google form at the link below. Be sure you are logged into your UW Google Account prior to clicking on the application link. The application includes the following elements:

  1. A headshot of yourself (only include a headshot if you grant us permission to use your picture for presentation)
  2. Three essay questions. Each response should be no more than 500 words. The total document upload is limited to 1500 words.
    • What are your career goals after graduating from UW Bothell School of Business?  How do you imagine you will use your degree to make an impact in your community, and perhaps even the world at large?
    • Describe a time when a mentor significally impacted your personal or academic journey. How did they shape your goals or perspectives?  How do you plan to give back or mentor others in the future?
    • How would receiving this scholarship alleviate your financial burden? How would it help you focus on your studies and/or your career goals? 
  3. An updated resume. Please see Career Services if you need help with your resume.
