Each year, UW Bothell recognizes students for extraordinary achievement at UW Bothell. These awards are presented at Commencement.
The President’s Medal was established in 2003 to recognize the graduating senior with not only the most distinguished academic record at the University of Washington Bothell, but one who has demonstrated academic achievements and success.
The President’s Medal will be announced in May.
This award recognizes those who have been a consistent source of inspiration for faculty and fellow students alike, and have overcome significant obstacles or endured major burdens in order to complete an undergraduate, graduate or post-baccalaureate degree or certificate program.
The Chancellor’s Medal will be announced in May.
Nomination letters may be submitted by faculty, staff, students or those affiliated with the University of Washington Bothell and should be:
- no more than two pages in length,
- address the “fit” between the nominee and spirit of the award. Barriers overcome can include academic, physical, personal, financial, social constraints, and
- only nominate students who meet the eligibility requirements for participating in Commencement exercises. Students who earned a graduate or post-baccalaureate degree, an undergraduate degree or certificate in Autumn 2022 or have applied to graduate with a departmental advisor for Winter 2023, Spring 2023 or Summer 2023 are eligible.
Please email nomination letters to the Chancellor’s Office, firstname.lastname@example.org, by Friday April 29.
