Hello, and thank you for visiting the webpage for the Writing and Communication Center! We support the University of Washington Bothell's campus-wide culture of writing and communication by providing:
Direct assistance to UW Bothell students through individual conferences, group workshops, and online support.
Support to faculty through individual consultation, curriculum development and collaborative teaching.
Contributions to the scholarship on writing and communication pedagogy through programmatic research and collaboration with other educational institutions.
Our approach emphasizes the use of thoughtful, intelligent dialogue to help students explore and develop their ideas. Peer consultants ask questions, share strategies, and help students assess their own work with skill and confidence. Consultants and students consider how changes in organization, style and mechanics can strengthen their work.
