Major: Media and Communications
Why I'm excited to work at the WaCC:
I look forward to assisting and serving our diverse student body.
I am an avid reader of post-colonial works, this love manifesting mostly in the classics, such as Frantz Fanon and Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o. I also enjoy this field within its more contemporary contexts, such as that of popular Palestinian resistance and other indigenous causes, and this is my primary focus within my own articles, as well as my undergraduate research here at the University of Washington.
What I'd like to do in the future:
I am hoping to pursue a Master's degree in Political Communication, post-Bachelors. As for a career, I would love to pursue journalism centered around the Arab world; and perhaps after completing a PhD, I could teach.
