Laura Avila oversees daily operations of Undergraduate Academic Services for the School of STEM. She has worked in higher education for 20 years, her motivation is guiding students through their educational journey, and helping them understand the value of charting a meaningful college experience. She has a special interest in working with first generation students and students from underrepresented groups. She knows firsthand the difference a college education can make in the life of this group of students, their families and generations to come.
