Advisor: Biological and Physical Sciences
Amy is Academic Advisor for the Divisions of Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences. She is thrilled to join UW Bothell STEM and to begin her work with students.
Amy loves to read, write, crochet, cook, bake, jog, and continuously learn.
During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Amy took foundational biology and chemistry courses which fueled her interest in the intersection between biological sciences and humanities. Originally from Los Angeles, she began her advising career in 1997 as a graduate student at the University of Kansas (working primarily with pre-majors, undeclared, and undecided students).
In 1999, Amy moved to Washington and began her work as UW Seattle’s EE advisor from 1999-2007. Over the years, she has worked in interim advising and program management roles within various UW College of Engineering Departments (EE, Chem E, ME, BIOE). Before journeying to UW Bothell campus, Amy worked for several years as an academic advisor in the English Department at UW Seattle campus (serving English, comparative literature, and cinema media students).
