Dr. Lucas Moe, Graduate Career Counselor

Lucas Moe

Lucas Moe, Ed.D.
Graduate Career Counselor

Dr. Moe provides career advising and counseling to students in graduate programs offered by the School of STEM.  He offers comprehensive career guidance to both on-campus and online students, collaborates with Career Services on employer relations and events, and works with other key staff and University partners to enhance a comprehensive support plan with the goal of expanding the number, quality and diversity of professional career opportunities available for students.  He also integrates career activities and advising into academic departments, classrooms, and student organizations on behalf of the School of STEM Graduate Programs.

Dr. Moe has been in the higher education field since 2012 but launched his career coaching journey during his time as a Work and Family Life Consultant with the US Dept. of the Navy. While managing the Transition Assistance Program, he helped his clients identify career interests, create effective application packages, and learn effective job search strategies. He also worked with clients to build and optimize their networks, master interviewing strategies and techniques, practice salary negotiations, and successfully prepare for their transitions out of the military. Dr. Moe found this work so rewarding, he wanted to continue career coaching after separating from military life.
