Training & support

Support

The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department provides educational programs, technical assistance, and health and safety services to the University of Washington Bothells and Cascadia College co-located campus. EH&S also functions as a consultant to deans, directors, and heads of academic and administrative units, other staff members, and students in all areas of environmental health and safety.

EH&S is here to help support you, whether it be unsafe working conditions, personal protective equipment needs, hazard identifications, accident prevention plan, workplace ergonomic evaluations and much more. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Training

EH&S Training provides health and safety training courses that meet regulatory and policy requirements and support a culture of safety for the University of Washington and Cascadia College. We offer different methods of training, including online, classroom, and blended courses.

Which training should you take?

With safety as a top priority, there are some basic tools provided to help your everyday life as a student, staff, employee, professor or just a regular campus visitor. Access the training course finder here for help with your needs.

Different working environments require unique trainings, others are very universal. Refer to the Training Course Selection Guide and contact Eh&S with any questions you may have.

Course fees

Most EH&S courses are free to faculty, staff, and students with a UW NetID. If you do not have a UW NetID, ask your department/unit for sponsorship.
