Attendees will:
- Learn surgical knot-tying skills and take home a knot-tying board for further practice
- Participate in a Q&A with faculty and current students in the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery
- Enjoy a tour of DMU's campus, including the Surgical Skills Lab and Iowa Simulation Center
This unique event is available both in-person and on Zoom. Virtual participants will receive a knot-tying board by mail in advance of the event.

Youth Global Health & Innovation Conference
The Youth Global Health and Innovation Conference from June 22-24 aims to inform and inspire both undergraduate students and high school students about different career pathways, topics, and opportunities in global health. This is a great opportunity for local WA students interested in healthcare to connect more with the field of global health and network with local professionals!
We will be operating the conference over zoom to increase accessibility and let students from all over the state engage with our amazing local experts! The conference is entirely free as well!
We have some amazing speakers like the Director of Medical student Programs at UW, the Interim Chair of UW Global health, an Executive at a top Global Consulting Firm, and a plethora of other amazing researchers, doctors, and consultants! The conference will consist of 3 days of amazing opportunities for students to engage with leaders in global health, ask questions, and learn more about the cutting edge of different interdisciplinary innovations and approaches in global health. PharmCAS 101: Completing the Doctor of Pharmacy Application
In this session, Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Admissions Team will walk advisors and applicants through instructions, tips, and tricks involved with completing the PharmCAS application. My Journey to Medicine
Hear from two 1st Generation college students from underrepresented backgrounds who are at different stages on their journey to medicine in this recorded panel.

UPREP is a collaborative project between the CEDI student affinity groups. UPREP offers monthly workshops to underrepresented minority students and other aspiring future applicants who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. We offer workshops focusing on topics ranging from AMCAS application, financial aid, writing a personal statement, MCAT prep, interviews, and others. Join the UPREP listserv so that you can stay updated on upcoming workshops, recordings, and resources, sign up here.
