Government and Community Relations staff advocates for the University of Washington Bothell wherever and whenever the university is affected by local, state or national legislation.
To promote legislation and decision-making that supports our overall mission, we:
- Develop collaborative partnerships with business, municipal and economic development agencies
- Build strong relationships with surrounding community, city and civic organizations, with emphasis on the region from Mount Vernon to Bellevue and beyond
- Advise our Chancellor and other university administrators on legislative strategy, and keep the UW Bothell community abreast of those legislative matters affecting higher education.
