Despite barriers such as cultural expectations and the cost of living, student Zumrad Makhkamova has always done better than expected, whether in school in Uzbekistan, as a member of the honor guard in the U.S. Navy, and now as president of the UW Bothell chapter of Beta Alpha Psi.

Alumna Kelly Park knew she wanted a career in public service since she was a child. And her education at UW Bothell has shaped how she approaches her new position as chief of police for the city of Shoreline.

The newly launched Center for Biotechnology Innovation & Training will engage faculty and students in a range of research and educational projects — and help meet the growing workforce needs of the life sciences sector.

Students at UW Bothell have access to more than just books at the Campus Library. They can also work with librarians who are subject matter experts, borrow course texts and media collections, and take advantage of equipment and space for private and group work.
