A total of 5,995 students have enrolled at UW Bothell for the 2017-18 academic year. Of about 1,600 incoming first-year students and transfers, nearly half would be the first in their families to earn a four-year degree.

The severity of cybersecurity threats, the range of targets and the need for skilled professionals was clear at a symposium on energy workforce cybersecurity attended by Sen. Maria Cantwell Nov. 17 at the University of Washington Bothell.

Now in its 12th year, the community-based learning and research (CBLR) fellowship program is part of UW Bothell's commitment to connected learning and community engagement. This academic year, eight faculty members received support.

Thanks to a timely notice from UW Bothell, Ryan Dzakovic won a Veterans Innovation Partnership fellowship for a year-long position with the State Department’s Office of Global Partnerships in Washington, D.C. Dzakovic (master’s cultural studies ’15) is an Army reservist who served in Iraq and Uganda.

Nearly 600 international students are enrolled at the University of Washington Bothell this year, and increasing numbers of UW Bothell students study abroad, with more than 150 participating last year.
