This year’s recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award is Dr. Stefanie Iverson Cabral, assistant teaching professor in the School of Nursing & Health Studies. 

Dr. Jody Early, professor in the School of Nursing & Health Studies, and Sandra Huber, community engagement manager at Verdant Health, developed Mental Health Matters of Washington — a new community-driven mental health promotion program that offers education, community engagement, resource navigation and social support. 

Students in the Master of Fine Arts program were community performers in the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company’s production titled, What Problem?, which explored the tension between belonging to a community and feelings of isolation. 

A passion for equity and a commitment to making a difference are driving forces for this year’s Husky 100 honorees from UW Bothell. 

Computer science students in this K-12 Computing Education class teach middle schoolers how to code their own math problems — bringing together two distinct academic fields.
