UW Bothell faculty Jeff Jensen and Rob Turner and their students are working on a project to return once-plentiful kokanee salmon to Lyon Creek in Lake Forest Park. Jensen is using a remote site egg incubator, and Turner is monitoring the water quality of storm runoff.

Cindy Shirley, the director of University of Washington Bothell’s Office of Research, also is crew chief for the Miss HomeStreet unlimited hydroplane. Shirley showed off the boat on Seattle’s Seafair weekend to undergraduates in UW Bothell’s math and engineering research experience program.
