Leadership degree accelerates career move

A principal who earned her master’s degree in leadership at University of Washington Bothell was recently honored as one of 18 to receive the Washington State Regional Distinguished Principal award from the Association of Washington School Principals. Brad Lakey, who is finishing his master’s in education, has won a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship Award and will teach the next school year in Peru. A Marine Corps veteran, Lakey is University of Washington Bothell’s 10th Fulbright awardee.
