Becca Price helps students learn about insects that use gears to jump

IAS faculty member Becca Price published a set of resources for teachers to teach and students to learn about the first-ever interactive gears found in animals. The resources accompany a Science article by Malcolm Burrows and Gregory Sutton that describes the insects that have these gears. The gears synchronize the insect’s legs as at prepares to jump—and it works so well, that the jump happens in just 2 one-thousands of a second.
